Production Engineer for client in Konga

In the role of production engineer, you will have a central position in the development of a complete mechanical workshop industry. You will work in an environment that encompasses everything from laser cutting and welding to surface treatment, providing a broad technical platform to operate within. The assignment involves contributing to the efficiency of the operations by combining practical understanding with strategic improvement work.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a production engineer, you are responsible for optimizing and developing the production processes to ensure high quality and efficiency. You work closely with the core processes of the business and have a varied day-to-day where you move between operational support and long-term planning.

Your main tasks include:

  • Conducting production studies and flow analyses to identify areas for improvement.

  • Developing and optimizing production layouts for efficient material flow.

  • Working on simpler constructions and technical solutions.

  • Driving analyses and specific improvement initiatives within production.

  • Supporting various departments within the organization with production engineering expertise.

  • Actively working with Lean and implementing continuous improvements in daily operations.

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES AND QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a background in production engineering or industrial development, preferably from the workshop or manufacturing industry. You have a good technical understanding and are used to working closely with physical production to translate technical requirements into practical solutions.

To succeed in this role, we see that you have:

  • Experience working with CAD as a tool.

  • Familiarity with driving or participating in improvement projects, preferably based on Lean principles.

  • Experience in similar roles within mechanical production or contract manufacturing.

  • Good ability to communicate technical information clearly.

As a person, you are structured and engaged in your work. You have a pronounced problem-solving approach and enjoy taking initiatives to drive processes forward. Since the role involves many contact points within the company, we value your ability to collaborate and build good relationships at various levels of the organization.

This position is located at our client in Konga, a business specializing in sheet metal and machining as well as contract manufacturing.
